Hey guys, with internal pressure on to reduce our spending on virtualization (still lots of VMware), I’m thinking about presenting an ‘all in’ strategy for System Center 2012. I wondered if we could talk about appropriate sizing of SCOM infrsatructure to go to Azure. I bet it would be a great example for others as well!
We have a very centralized infrastructure and user population.
- 1,500 Windows Servers
- 200 network devices
- 4,500 users
- high availability a must
- less than 10 consoles
I would so love to hear your recommendations for
- Server sizing
- HA configurations for SCOM in Azure
- Other gotchas and best practices
